Exorcist demo [2.1MB] - The oldest known version of Exorcist. It's come a long way.
COMM demo [5.1MB] - The demo recording of COMM, circa May 1998.
Rigoddamneddiculous (featuring John Wayne) [3.5MB] - The Duke tears it up like nothing you've ever heard.
Early Computers [2.8MB] - The Secret Plans cut Computer in a very early stage.
The Bell Stomp Break [2.7MB]- Jeff Brown's oldest electronic jam. Several hundred copyright violations prohibited this song from ever ending up on an album.
Player [4.1MB] - The very first track recorded for Secret Plans circa January 1998. Although the song was completed, the drums we're shitty. Fixing the problem required a full re-record. The song was cut from the album. Enjoy this track, Player will resurface soon in another form.
The Hustler [2.2MB] - Another early electronic jam. The Hustler was intended to be the soundscape for a hip-hop song that was never written. The Hustler still holds it's own as an instrumental, based on Van McCoy's disco instrumental The Hustle. It has everything Van lacked... James Brown, Britney, and a breakbeat.
Don't Make Me Beat You (DJ B and the 3-0-0 Ride again) Kama Sutra Mix [3.0MB] - oh shit......... Song's nowhere near finished, still lacking the Latin Ghetto Lover (please bear with the empty middle, it comes back strong), and still lacking a decent ending. This track is going nowhere fast, so grab it NOW! Features Jeff Brown, James Bullock, and Chris Jackson. Rated R for language.
::::: FOSSILS
These cuts have been unearthed from the music archives. Most are relics from the LHS era, enjoy.-
Gap-On Blues / Superfly Girl [4.1MB] - The first track from Really Tricky from Jeff Brown and Funky Penetration. 1997.
My Style (John's Theme) [3.5MB] - The classic, as performed by Funky P. This is one of those songs that will never go away, now performed by Diojee.
Lucianos [2.4MB] - Sung to the tune of the Lennon / McCartney (Babcock / Brown) classic, Steve's Green Acres. This gem has rarely been heard by the human ear. If you've ever been to Luciano's, you've got to try this one. Hopefully, it will all come back to you.
Sarah Sweet and the Captain's Fleet (Alt. Take) [2.8MB] - This is a re-record of a tune from High Tech.
This is You (Slow Take) [2.8MB] - A slower version of This is You, which appeared on High Tech.
Relax Inn [4.0MB] - Relax was recorded in 1996. The song was too late to make it on High Tech. This was an ad campaign that never took off.
Juicy Lucy [2.6MB] - Written in 1995, Juicy Lucy appeared on the album High Tech.
Fantasy Blues [2.8MB] - Also written in 1995, this track was picked up and reworked by Funky Penetration later down the road. Here is the original recording that appeared on High Tech.
Song Under the Sun [3.7MB] - High Tech era, the song was never completed and never made the album. This version is the most complete to date. Early track lists for Secret Plans included this song. It may surface in the future...
::::: OTHER ARTISTS
Here is a list of tracks by independent artists, hand selected by Jeff Brown. They're up here for a reason.-
Joe Swanson - My Japanese Friends [3.0MB] - Definitely his best to date. Who knew he had it in him?
Jamie Bullock, Joe Swanson, Andrew Izod - Other Girl [3.2MB] - Don't let grandma hear this one. Listen closely to catch the forshadowing to Jeff Brown's newest, You Do Not Compute.
Jamie Bullock - What Was Never Said [2.1MB] - The Latin Ghetto Lover sings a song of brotherly love and homosexuality. This song was recorded during the Vertigo sessions.
Joe Swanson - ¿Quieres Mujeres? [5.6MB] - Ow! A song about a dirty Mexican street theif named Rolando. He steals daughters and immediately sells them back to you for 2 pesos (approx. $0.0015 USD). At least that's my interpretation, my Spanish is a little rusty.
Joe Swanson - Moth in the Window [2.3MB] - Holy christ! Even if you have a 14.4 modem, this is a must. Word on the street is, Swanson has a full album now.
